This past weekend was the Cherokee Holiday, there were lots of events going on around town. Everything from quilt contests to traditional Indian dancing. With so much going on we had to pick what events to attend. On Friday we chose to go to the pow-wow, it was fun to go as a family and see what it was all about.
It was fun to see everyone all dressed up and excited about the dancing. It was kinda sad to cause so much of there culture has been lost and so much is just for show now. The second day we went to see some of the games, below is marbles being played.
There was also a parade that morning which Jamen loved! The yellow cars, fire trucks, police cars and candy were all that Jamen needed!
Jade had fun too, she enjoyed holding Heaths hand in the stroller. It was a good weekend for all of us!
