Exploration...the first part

Jamen has reached the age of exploration...way more than ever before. At 11.5 months he is getting into more stuff, but hey, he's learning, right? Hopefully I'll be the kind of mom to encourage and discourage at right times. This time I encouraged, it was so cute!

This is Jamen's nice clean room, he is allow to play freely here...
This is Jamen doing just that...

He was having so much fun!

Books read better under the changing table.

He was just so cute playing all by himself. He normally will take everything off the bottom shelf but this was the first time he has ever crawled onto it. I think he was pretty proud of himself.

Drink?

About a month ago I began to teach Jamen how to sign for his cup using the above sign and saying the word "drink". He picked up on it really fast and now he will sign for his cup and say "drink" ...only it doesn't sound like drink but he's trying and its wicked cute. I didn't have any pictures of him actually signing but here he is enjoying the fruits of his labor.

Friends

The weather this week has been amazing, for three days in a row its been in the 70's! With the warmer weather, we decided to venture outside...as did our neighbors.  This is Jamen with his friend Logan who is 4.5 months younger than Jamen, but they play well together...sort of...

I'm pretty sure Jamen is taking Logan's frog away...

Jamen successfully got the frog...Logan doesn't look too happy about it.

Jamen is now cuddling with the frog...he does this with a lot of things, he'll lay his head on it and says awww. Its wicked cute! He'll also do it with Jon and I, you feel so loved with simple things like that.

LEAVES, GRASS and DIRT!!!

Jamen ventured off the blanket and quickly discovered the grass, dirt and leaves! Its fun to watch him discover God's creation!

Big Eater

This picture has nothing to do with Jamen eating...it was just cute.

Don't let Jamen's 17lb frame fool you...this kid can eat!

The other day I gave him my half eaten apple and he went to town on that thing!

He has learned his teeth have better uses than grinding them together.
