Brush Your Teeth

Here is Jamen getting ready for bed. We got a big boy tooth brush so we could start brushing his teeth more. He does really well with it, so far no bitting of the tooth brush:-)

Now the top three teeth. Jamen likes to have his top teeth brushed, he still getting his eye teeth in and it must feel good.

Family Pictures

Well, we finally got family pictures taken thanks to a couple from church. We had them over for fried catfish and they took our pictures. We had a lot of fun, Jamen did too as you will see. Enjoy!

What do you think? Personally I think he's a natural. Jon is pretty excited about his surfboard, its not done yet, it needs some more sanding, a little varnish, fiberglass, fins and then its ready!

Busy week

Ever had one of those weeks when you forget what week you are actually in? Well, that was me this week. I kept thinking it was next week and it was really starting to mess with my mind. I kept planning things that weren't suppose to take place until next week and canceling things because I thought I already had plans. I was glad for the three day weekend. I hope things go better this week.

This weekend was good for us, we needed a little down time to get caught up on things or to do nothing at all. We got some family pictures taken on Saturday, we rented Horton Hears A Who, weaned Jamen from his pacifier and started potty training. Jon also has been working on his wooden surfboard and I have been working on my many different sewing projects. I know it sounds busy but its been good;-)

Quilting batteries

Okay, so I'm not really quilting with batteries but I have been working with both. Allow me to explain....back in August I started hand sewing a quilt for Jamen. I had taken all his old receiving blankets and cut them up to make one big blanket. All has been going well except that its taking me 7 months to sew it and I'm not even half way done! So I borrowed as sewing machine, which I've never used before, and finished his blanket in three days instead of three more months. Below is the finished product. I am pretty pleased with it and Jamen seems to like it.

Now, getting back to the batteries. We are learning all about electricity and using a multi meter in class right now. So on Tuesday we got to recharge batteries by hand, it was a little scary with sparks flying and loud zapping noises, but I survived. 

Here I am recharging my batteries, by the way don't try this at home. You can only do it with certain types of batteries.

Now to what Jamen has been up to. Recently, Jamen has started to express an interest in dogs...aka puppies. He barks like them, he likes reading about them in the books and he likes to play with his stuffed puppies. As you can tell he's just chillin' with the puppies while teething on his spoon. He's such a clown sometimes.

Adventures at the playground

The weather here in MO has finally gotten warm enough to take Jamen to the playground. Jamen is also big enough to explore, which he enjoys very much! The only down side to the playground is the little rocks, however none have been swallowed yet:-)

I think he was being silly in this picture but it has a good view of the tunnel which you can see him crawling through in the next picture.

He really likes crawling in the tunnel, as soon as he makes it out he wants to go back through again.

Jamen enjoys the swing but only for so long and then he's ready to get down and go find a new adventure!
