Missionary Training Center

We are excited to announce we have officially been accepted to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) for this coming August. This training will take place in Roach, Missouri and will last for about a year and a half. It's the last phase of our training as we pursue the goal of reaching unreached people groups of the world with the Gospel of Christ!

God has provided

We are so thankful to all the people who have given us baby things. We have received so much. A couple at church are giving us their crib which converts into a toddler bed. Jon's sister passed along, a big stroller, a baby bath tub, a pack n' play, a bedding set complete with a mobile and a car seat. Others have given us a few toys, books, an umbrella stroller, a snugli, a little swing and clothes for the first 6 months -as long as the baby doesn't grow too fast:-)

We have been in awe of everyones generosity and so very thankful. We praise God for using these people in our lives!

Getting ready for baby...

I can't believe we only have 10 more weeks until our baby arrives. Here are pictures of me at 30 weeks. I feel like I can't get any bigger, but I know I am going to expand more.
Little Quastlet is obviously getting bigger and becoming a stronger kicker. I delight in every little movement he makes; there's something special about feeling him move everyday.

Counting Down

I can't believe there are only 13 more weeks until our little Quastlet is due to enter the world. He is getting bigger and stronger every day. His favorite things to do are keeping mommy awake at night by kicking her in the ribs, using mommy's bladder as pillow and not letting daddy feel him move. For a while every time Jon put his hand on my belly the baby would immediately stop kicking but now little Quastlet and daddy are bonding.
I recently had another ultrasound to check on the growth of the baby and during the ultrasound the baby was licking his thumb. It was the coolest thing, you could see his little tongue going in and out. The picture below is of baby licking his thumb but is kind of hard to see.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

While the southern snow fell this Christmas we enjoyed sitting in our water proof house opening beautifully wrapped packages and watching our bunny, Stella, play in the wrapping paper. We spent the rest of day playing games, watching movies, talking to family on the phone and eating pie. We rang in the new year with friends gathered around a huge bonfire and fire works. New Years day we went to see Jon's aunt and uncle, were we enjoyed college football, great food and lots of laughs.
