So we are pretty sure Jamen gets more sleep than the two of us put together, we can't complain, he's such a sweet little guy!
Jon and Jen Quast are members of New Tribes Mission to become tribal church planters in Paraguay among some of the most distant, majority world ethnic groups on the planet. Their passion and desire is to see the name of Jesus proclaimed over the whole earth, and they desperately desire people who have never had the opportunity to hear what Jesus has done for them to believe on His name for Salvation.

One week old
Its hard to believe its been one week since Jamen was born. We are all doing very well, a little tired at times, but so far no complaints. Jamen is eating lots and sleeping very well at night. We are so happy and thankful to have such a beautiful baby boy in our lives. We praise God that he is healthy and strong.
Here is a picture of Jamen at one week

New Baby
I finally came but mom and dad thought the day would never come. Dad had hopes of an April fools baby but that day came and went. Mom hoped of having me on my due date, April 4th, but that also came and went. The doctors told mom they would induce her on April 10th if I hadn't come by then.
So mommy waited another 4 and half hours. Dad arrived home at 6:30pm and by 8:00pm they were on there way to the hospital. Once they arrived they rushed through paper work and mom got hooked up to all the machines. Dad was a great labor coach, he helped mommy focus on slowing down her breathing through each painful contraction and he let her squeeze all the blood from his hand.
The anesthesiologist arrived around 9:15pm and gave mommy her much wanted epidural. Finally my parents were able to get a little sleep but not for long because suddenly at 12:50am mom was calling for the nurse. I was coming! My mom pushed for 30minutes before I made my grand entrance.
So mom and dad waited yet another week. Mom went to see the doctor on April 9th to make sure everything was going okay, it was, and the doctor told her he'd see her in the morning to begin the induction process. However she surprised him with a phone call at 2:00pm that afternoon because she had been have steady contractions. He told her to wait it out and to call when she couldn't talk through the contractions.
