Jon and Jen Quast are members of New Tribes Mission to become tribal church planters in Paraguay among some of the most distant, majority world ethnic groups on the planet. Their passion and desire is to see the name of Jesus proclaimed over the whole earth, and they desperately desire people who have never had the opportunity to hear what Jesus has done for them to believe on His name for Salvation.

Christmas Eve
The smell of the Quast family tradition filled our little one bedroom apartment today. Jon's dad is famous for making tons of cookies every Christmas Eve, even staying up all night to frost them! Cookie making in the Quast house is a serious event. We decided to start our own tradition by making cookies as well. We used the same recipes but didn't stay up all night. We just spent the day making 8 dozen cookies and decorating them all pretty. We then dropped off our goodies to friends and neighbors.

Happy Thanksgiving
We want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. We traveled to VA to visit with Jon's family, where we enjoyed good times with family and lots of turkey, mashed potatoes and pecan pie. On our way home we drove through the Outer Banks were we saw the many different lighthouses that have become famous over the years. During our visit we saw, Cape Lookout, Cape Hatteras, Ocracoke Lighthouse and the Bodie Island Lighthouse. We had a great time sleeping in the back of our Ford explorer, reading about the history of the lighthouses and taking in the beautiful scenery. It was a great time of relaxation and a good time for Jon and I spend quality time together.
